Julie Zito is a board-certified physician assistant with a Doctor of Medical Science degree concentrated in psychiatry. She brings a unique and well-rounded background to her practice, combining clinical training with a deep appreciation for integrative approaches to mental health. Julie earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Women’s Studies from Florida Atlantic University, her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Bridgeport, and completed her Doctor of Medical Science from Rocky Mountain University in 2024.

Julie began her clinical career in primary care before transitioning into addiction medicine and, eventually, outpatient psychiatry. Her areas of focus include treatment-resistant depression, major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, ADHD, generalized anxiety disorder, PTSD, and substance use disorders. She provides both medication management and Spravato services.

Her approach is rooted in active listening, collaborative problem-solving, and cognitive restructuring. Julie values ongoing therapy as an essential part of medication management and encourages patients to participate in both. For those seeking ADHD treatment, she typically recommends formal diagnostic testing prior to starting medication.

Julie is certified in medication-assisted treatment and is also a registered yoga teacher, which contributes to her whole-person approach to care. She is passionate about helping patients feel more at peace with themselves and enjoy greater emotional well-being.
