Maturin “Mat” Waldo is a licensed clinical social worker with 35 years of experience in behavioral health. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Boston University, a Master of Social Work from Fordham University, and additional advanced training from the New York Institute for Psychotherapy.
Mat’s work is grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing, with a trauma- and addiction-informed perspective. He specializes in working with clients who have serious and persistent mental illness, as well as those facing the effects of trauma and substance use disorders. He is certified in addiction and trauma treatment.
His approach centers on building a positive relationship and establishing trust, then providing practical and effective tools to address challenges. Mat is committed to making every effort to find solutions that help clients improve their quality of life.
